Bradley Kirk Carter

Nov 5, 2021

Bradley Kirk Carter passed away on Monday November 1, 2021 at his home in American Fork, Utah. He was born August 3, 1957 and was the youngest child of Dale and Carol Carter. Brad grew up in Orem in the family home which was the “Pepto Bismol” house at the top of the hill on 400 North. He had fond memories of pheasant hunting in the orchards of Orem, deer hunting in Mills and the left-hand fork of Hobble Creek and playing in what used to be the sandhills above his house. His passion for hunting continued throughout his life, and you could often find him hunting waterfowl out on the lakes of Utah. Brad also had a strong passion for baseball and made many strong friendships at the ballpark. Brad’s parents, as well as his grandparents, played an important role in his life as well as his ultimate occupation. Brad had a strong work ethic, which he passed onto his children, and he took his first job washing trucks at Kofford trucking at the age of 12. There he also learned how to pick up a wrench. He would go on to be a master mechanic at a few places from 21st south in SLC, to 8th North in Orem. He was quick witted, liked to crack jokes, and was always in for a good laugh. Brad had a big heart, and it was not uncommon to hear stories of him looking out for others in need. Although separated by distance, Brad always looked forward to talking to and spending time with his grandkids.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents and survived by his two children, Tiffany (Jason) Esplin of Scottsdale, AZ and Tysen (Wendy) Carter of Bountiful, UT, as well as his brother Greg (Kim) Carter and his sister Linda Larsen. He also had 8 grandchildren that adored him and always looked forward to making a visit to “Papa’s” house. Funeral services will be provided by the Walker Sanderson Funeral home, 646 E. 800 N., Orem Utah, on November 9th, beginning at 11:00 am. A Live Broadcast will begin at the same time on www.walkersanderson.com where condolences and memories may be shared. Graveside services will commence at the Orem City Cemetery.

Starting at $4.32/week.
