She was born July 21, 1930 in Salem, Utah to Alma Frances and Merle Jamison Christensen.

She lived in Salem, Utah from youth to adulthood. After graduating high school, she worked in various jobs including Barbizon in Provo Utah. After she was married, she worked at the Utah County Recorder’s office and then at the Westside Elementary School as secretary for over 20 years.

She married Daniel F. Winnie August 17, 1951. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Vivian was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life.

She is survived by her loving family Benjamin (Lisa) Winnie and Laura (Tim) Birnbaum, seven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Pearl Marie Bufton. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Daniel.

She was blessed with many talents. She loved music and was very talented at the piano and organ. She was the church organist for many years. She loved gardening and was always sharing with family and neighbors the fruits and vegetables from her efforts. She loved to bake homemade bread which was enjoyed by many. She loved spending time with her family and many friends. She enjoyed traveling and went many places across the country with her husband and friends. She was loved by many and appreciated for her kind and helpful ways.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 11th, at 12:00 pm in the Hobble Creek 6th ward chapel, 1440 E. 900 S., Springville, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10:00-11:30 am. Interment will be in the Salem City Cemetery.
