Blaine May Tippetts

Blaine May Tippetts was surrounded by family as he passed away on Nov 4, 2021, in Lehi, Utah. Blaine was the youngest child of Heber C. Tippetts and Lucy May Tippetts. He was born Mar 6, 1933, in Lovell, WY but spent many of his growing up years in Utah County. Blaine served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He was stationed at the 5th Army Headquarters in Chicago and has always been grateful for the opportunity to serve in the military.

Blaine married Betty Norris on Feb 18, 1955, in Chicago, IL. They were later sealed in the Manti Temple. They are the parents of Thomas (Brenda), Laura (Brent) Tolman, Susan Ballard, and Clarence. Blaine and Betty moved from Chicago to Orem in the early 1970s.

Blaine is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is grateful for his testimony of Christ. He has served faithfully in a variety of callings. He was a dedicated home teacher and spent many, many hours as an indexer.

Betty and Blaine have enjoyed raising and showing poodles, growing roses, fishing, boating, and family activities.

Blaine is survived by children Laura, Susan, Clarence, numerous grandchildren/great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, parents, siblings, son Tom, and several grandchildren.

Blaine was a resident of Pointe Meadows Health and Rehabilitation since the start of 2018. We are grateful for the kind and loving care that he received there.

A viewing will be held Sat Nov 13th from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, South Jordan, UT. Following the viewing, a graveside service will be held 2:00 PM at the South Jordan City Cemetery.
