Don William Greening

Don William Greening, 86, of American Fork, passed away peacefully at home November 26, 2021. Born January 15, 1935 in American Fork, the son of William Franklin Greening and Emma Elizabeth Binch Greening. He married Barbara Joan Starsmoore in American Fork and their marriage was later solemnized in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. Don loved golfing, coaching little league baseball, traveling, and spending time honoring his fellow veterans volunteering with the VFW. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War and also spent time in the Vietnam War as a Civilian contractor in Vietnam. Don worked at Hill Air Force Base until his retirement. Survivors include his three sons: Shaun (Tammy) Greening, Carl (Kimberly) Greening, and Joel Greening, 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and his brother Arlan Greening. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, his parents, 5 brothers: Glen, Daryl, Harold, Ellis, and his twin Dale, and 4 sisters: Marian (Newman), Lois (Sorensen), Ila Jean (Kelson), and Elaine (Bird). Funeral services will be held Saturday December 4, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North. A viewing will be held Friday from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 am also at the mortuary. Burial in the American Fork Cemetery.
