Doyle J Davis

Doyle J Davis of Orem, Utah, passed away November 23, 2021 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center at the age of 79. He was born January 1, 1942 in Provo, Utah, to William and Kathryn Davis.

Doyle married Carolyn Glenn on July 9, 1965 and they became parents to seven children. In 1967, Doyle graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Business and worked for Conoco until 1975 when he opened his own accounting office in Provo. Doyle served clients throughout Utah, many of them becoming close personal friends.

Doyle enjoyed music and was an accomplished pianist and organist in his younger years. He had a great love for sports and the outdoors. Doyle played fast-pitch softball for decades and spent 17 years coaching little league baseball, coaching each of his sons.

Doyle was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission to the Central States mission. He spent much of his life working with the youth and had a special talent for planning and organizing large, unique youth activities. In later years, he enjoyed serving in the Mount Timpanogos and Provo temples.

Doyle’s greatest joy in life was his family. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, and their children: Mike (Jan), Todd (Andrea), Stephanie (Kraig) Sorensen, Kyle (Karen), Kevin (Anne Marie), Scott and 13 grandchildren. Siblings Mary Jean (Larry) Draper, Kathleen (Arnold) Gilchrist, and Lyle (Raelene) Davis. He was preceded in death by his son Matt, sister Donita (Rod) Polson, and his parents William and Kathryn Davis.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11am at the Orem Stake Center located at 481 East Center Street Orem, Utah. A viewing will be held at the same location on Friday, December 3 from 6-8pm and Saturday, December 4 from 9:30-10:30am prior to the service. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
