Gail (Penovich) Ingram
Gail (Penovich) Ingram, 71, of Lindon, Utah, passed away serenely in her sleep on the morning of Thursday, September 23 at her home.
Gail Penovich was born to Joseph Penovich and Mildred Allen of Toole, Utah on Wednesday, April 5, 1950, as the third of three daughters. Gail lived with her family in American Fork, Springville, and finally in Provo as a youth, where she attended Provo High School until graduating in 1968. While attending high school she met the love of her life, David Ingram, who attended Orem High School.
Following high school, Gail attended and graduated from LDS Business College. With her degree, she earned a job as a secretary at an insurance agency in Salt Lake.
David and Gail married on May 29, 1969, in the Salt Lake City temple shortly after her 19th birthday. David and Gail lived in Salt Lake until the arrival of their firstborn daughter Angie a year later. The family moved to Orem where David completed his schooling at BYU and Gail could be at home to become a mother and homemaker. They grew as a family as four more children blessed their lives: Jenny, Scott, Emily, and Melissa. The family settled in Provo, then in later years relocated to Lindon.
Gail was a lifelong member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved the gospel and had an unwavering testimony of its truth, of her Father in heaven, and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. She served in many callings in the church and especially enjoyed serving as Home-making counselor. Both Gail and David served a mission together in Ireland.
Gail was immensely devoted to her family. She strived to be the best mother and homemaker she could be. She loved and cared about them deeply. She had a charitable heart and did not hesitate to share what she was blessed with.
Gail was a gifted and skilled homemaker in every aspect. Her quilting ability was legendary. Most of her quilts were gifted to her loved ones where they are, and will be, cherished forever. She used her gifts and time for humanitarian efforts.
Gail is survived by her husband of 52 years, Thomas David Ingram, her children Angie (Michael) Randall, Jennifer (John) Luke, Scott Ingram, Emily (Frank) Long, Melissa Rankin, her sixteen grandchildren, and three great-grandsons that she adores. She also leaves behind her sister Joann (John) Bone, nieces, nephews, cousins, and will be reunited with her sister Connie Brimhall (Deceased), mother, and many generations of family.
The family invites you to join them in remembrance of the life of Gail Ingram on October 4th and 5th. For a full obituary and funeral details please visit www.walkersanderson.com
