Blanche Gardner Larsen

Blanche Gardner Larsen, 88, of Provo, Utah passed away peacefully at home in the care of her loving husband, October 14, 2021. Born March 30, 1933, in Spanish Fork, Utah the daughter of Eugene Thomas Gardner and Sarah Blanche Williams. She married Ralph Leo Larsen in Spanish Fork July 2, 1953; their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple March 15, 1972. Blanche worked as a lunch lady at both Rock Canyon and Timpanogos Elementary Schools for 27 years, until she retired in her 80’s. She loved genealogy and worked and volunteered at the BYU genealogy library for many years. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings in the Relief Society and will always be remembered for her service as the girl’s camp leader and cook. She also served as the ward nursery leader with Ralph for 18 years. She was an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Blanche was a quilter who helped organize and make quilts for everyone in her ward that was getting married, she also loved to crochet and made an afghan for every grandchild’s graduation gift. Her hands where always busy and she always had a project going on. Her hard work and service to her family and those she cared about will always be remembered. She is survived by her husband Ralph, children, Ranae Spencer, Ronald Larsen, Clair (Patricia) Larsen, Carolyn (Richard) Trowbridge, Mary (Terry) Harmon, Shirlene Larsen, Deanna (Kevin) Alger, Paul (Jill) Larsen, 33 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and her sister Maureen Redmond. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Keith, Mark, and Sterling Gardner and a sister Kathleen Curtis, two grandsons and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday October 21, 2021, at 11:00 am in the Lakeside 7th Ward, 2225 West 620 North Provo, Utah. A visitation will be held Wednesday at the church from 6 to 7 pm and Thursday prior to the services from 9:45 to 10:40 am at the church. Burial in the Provo Cemetery.
