He married Beverly Hanks on June 1, 1949 in Spanish Fork, Utah. They were later sealed in the Manti Utah Temple. He is the father of three children, Gary, Brad, and Brenda, grandfather to six and great-grandfather to fourteen. His family was his treasure and his highest priority. He loved deeply and was loved deeply. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His greatest success was his family.

He is survived by his children, Brad H. Bearnson (Logan) and Brenda Fage (St. George). He had six grandchildren: Kasie, Sara, Braden, Taya, Tessa and Alex. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly, son, Gary Robert Bearnson; his parents, Robert and Dorothy Bearnson; brother, Richard and sister, JoAnn Roberts.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 11 at 11:00 a.m. at the Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main St, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may visit on Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
