DyAnne Carter

Sep 17, 2021

Mrs. DyAnne Carter, 77, of Lehi, left this earthly world and gained her wings September 10, 2021. Born in American Fork, Utah on September 12, 1943. DyAnne was the daughter to the late John H. and Irene Cook Laursen. DyAnne graduated from American Fork High School in 1961. She would come to meet, fall in love with and marry the late Ronald F. Carter of Orem. DyAnne and Ronald celebrated 47 wonderful years together. In this time they would raise 4 children and share many family adventures together.

DyAnne’s greatest joy came from spending time with family, especially her grand and great grand-children. DyAnne enjoyed car trips with family and those special trips with Ronald on the motorcycle. DyAnne was also very social and loved interacting with people. She once worked at the old Circle-K on Main St in Lehi where she became like a second mom to all the high school kids, townsfolk and special guests such as the entire cast and crew from the original movie Footloose. She had a spitfire attitude and wasn’t afraid to tell you how she felt. Telling a story like no other, she would do so with the sweetest southern drawl even though she was born and raised right here in Utah. DyAnne was also a passionate cook, baker and crafter.

Surviving DyAnne are her daughters and son; Rhonda Carter of Lehi, Cheron (Jeremy) Shepherd of Spanish Fork, and Ronald D. (Kirsten) Carter of Chandler, AZ. DyAnne was a very proud grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her three sisters Mavis Brown of American Fork, Lorraine Barney of Lehi, Ellen Kirk of Tempe, AZ and two brothers John Laursen of Lehi and Bill Laursen of Payson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

In honor of her wishes, there are no services planned. DyAnne’s family will have a private celebration to honor her life and all the wonderful times together.
