Kevin Bruce Thurston

Kevin Bruce Thurston, 66, passed away peacefully at home in Washington, UT on September 3, 2021. Kevin was born April 5, 1955, in Boise, ID, to Bruce and Gene Christensen Thurston.

Kevin was raised mostly in Provo, UT, and graduated from Provo High School in 1973. He then attended Utah State University and trained for his career as an Electrician with IBEW. He married Marcia Wallace Jensen in 1982, they later divorced.

Kevin was well-read, intelligent, thoughtful, kind, and funny. He loved the outdoors and could be found combing the desert for rocks, antiques, and anything he considered ‘good junk’. His love of music was reflected in his extensive record collection. He loved playing and watching sports and was an avid Dodgers fan. He found great fulfillment in keeping his classic Suburban up and running.

Kevin’s ultimate goal was to have a family and he was fortunate to have 8 children and stepchildren; Christopher (Yolanda) Jensen, Jennifer (Anthony) Bradley, Lisa Robinson, Eric Jensen, Sam (Jaime) Jensen, Alison (Harley) Herseim, Jesse Thurston, Jaimee (Mike) Bond, as well as 23 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He loves his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids with all his heart.

He is also survived by his 5 siblings, Gary Thurston, Happi (Alan) Hansen, Judy (Dave) Jenson, Jacque (Jim) Kofoed, Marv (Jan) Thurston, and many beloved extended family members.

Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Oct. 1, 2021, at 3:00 PM at the Santa Clara Cemetery, Santa Clara, UT
