1944 — 2021

John Lynn Broadhead was born December 2, 1944 in Provo, Utah to Spencer and Jocie Broadhead. He died on August 11, 2021 in Southern California after a courageous and lifelong battle with cerebral palsy. John loved people, he learned to communicate with different sounds and noises to convey his feelings. In his younger years he learned to ride a bike and knew to stay within a designated area of the neighborhood. This was a great blessing and allowed him to have freedom doing something he enjoyed. He loved attending school with his friends and had the opportunity to participate in the Special Olympics winning several medals. In his adult years he was able to enroll with the Salt Lake County Work Activity Center. He waited each morning for a bus to pick him up and had great pride in his work. John eventually moved to Lakeside, California where he lived in the Home of Guiding Hands. John lived a long life. The family has peace knowing John no longer has physical or mental afflictions and has entered Heaven to many open and loving arms. He is survived by his brothers Stirling and Kent. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Don. The graveside service will be held at Pleasant Grove Cemetery 500 North 100 West, Pleasant Grove on Thursday, September 30 at 11:00 am.
