Garry Lee Guymon, 85, beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather was called home to his Heavenly Father on February 3, 2022, surrounded by his family and sweetheart.

Garry was born in Ucon, Idaho to Lila and Ferrell Guymon. He graduated from Bonneville High School in 1955. Gary served as an Army MP in Korea and Arizona.

He served in the Australian Mission in 1958. He also served missions with his wife Judy in Ivory Coast and Melbourne Australia.

Garry worked for Orem City for 30 years. First in animal control, then as a patrolman and later a detective. He was transferred to Public Safety which allowed him to go to elementary schools and teach children safety as “Officer Friendly”. He retired in 1995.

Funeral Services will be Friday February 11, 2022 at 11 am in Lindon 16th Ward Chapel 610 West 100 South, Lindon. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday February 10, 2022 from 6-8 pm at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home 646 East 800 North, Orem or Friday from 9:45-10:45 am at the church prior to the service.
