1947 – 2022

Kathleen D Richins Howard passed away February 11, 2022. Kathy was born May 4, 1947 in Murray, Utah to Warren Ford and Clare Boyce Heiner Richins. She was middle child of 7 children. She met her best friend for life, Eileen Gonzales, as a baby and they continued to be best of friends throughout her life. Kathy attended Lincoln Elementary School, Granite Park Junior High School and Granite High School. She was secretary of Granite Park Junior High School in 9th grade. She met the love of her life and married Charles Erven Howard March 27, 1964. They were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple March 27, 1974. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings including primary, Sunday school teacher, and relief society visiting teacher and minister. She babysat as a young girl for 5 cents per hour. She also worked at the original Iceberg Drive In, S&H Green Stamps Redemption Center, Manager at Hickory Farms and Monroe Elementary School and served on the PTA. She’s lived in Murray, Taylorsville, Central Valley and Orem, Utah. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma and great grandmother and a friend to all who came in contact with her. She will be truly missed.
