Rosetta “Jean” Paxman Rieske

Rosetta “Jean” Paxman Rieske returned back home to her Heavenly Father on January 9, 2022, after age-related health issues.

Jean was born on April 22, 1935, in Spanish Fork to Ronald and Mary Paxman. She was the oldest of three girls.

Jean met the love of her life, Lee Rieske in Provo, Utah. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on March 29, 1956. They were blessed with 5 children.

Jean loved to sew and quilt. She made many beautiful quilts for her children and grandchildren. Jean spent over 50 years caring for her special needs child, Mary Jean.

Jean is survived by four children, Bruce (Rose) Rieske in Provo, Utah, Jolen Givens in Bucyrus, Ohio, Colleen (Jon) Rice in Cedar City, Utah, Denise (Clint) Pierson in Tropic, Utah along with 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Shirley Titcomb and Janet Whitehead. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter and a grandson.

The family would like to personally thank Intermountain Home Care and Hospice for their compassionate care of our beloved Jean.

Funeral services will be held at Walker Funeral Home at 187 South Main Street in Spanish Fork on Monday, January 17, 2022. A viewing will be held from 9:45 until 10:45 in the morning, with the funeral service starting at 11 o’clock a.m. The family does request that a mask be worn at the services.
