Annie Gillis

1926 — 2022

Our precious mother and grandmother, Annie Ruth Zweifel Gillis, passed away on January 8, 2022 surrounded by love at the age of 95 in Lake Jackson, Texas. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she resided for many years in Las Cruces, New Mexico and Orem, Utah. She was known for her devotion to her children and grandchildren, temple and missionary work, and for enthusiastically sharing her testimony of Jesus Christ. She is survived by her sister Thelma McKinlay, her brother Frank Zweifel, her five children, Carol Wood, Mahlon, Mark, Keith and Paul Gillis, 23 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.

Ann will be honored on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street, Orem, Utah 84058. The funeral will also be available by Facebook Live Stream. Following the funeral, Ann will be buried next to her husband of 48 years, Robert Joseph Gillis at the Orem Cemetery.
