Sonia A. Harris

Sonia A. Harris (89) passed away at her home on January 16, 2022. Sonia was born to Alfred and Elfrida Sorensen on January 27, 1932 in Narvik, Norway. Sonia met her true love, John B. Harris and they were married on January 2, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had five children. Sonia and John loved to travel and they visited many parts of the world. Sonia was dedicated to her family and provided a good home, she was also a professional seamstress.

Sonia and John served a Temple Mission in Stockholm, Sweden and continued to serve, when they got home, in the Provo and Mount Timpanogos Temples for several years.

Sonia was very active until her health declined over the past few years. She has now joined her husband, John B. Harris, her parents and siblings, her daughter, Randi, and granddaughter, Melissa Harris. Sonia is survived by four of her children, John (Lisbeth) Harris, Ashley Harris, Cecily (James) Stott and Margaret (Gary) Keener. Also by 13 Grandchildren and 33 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 11:00am at the Suncrest 2nd Ward Chapel, 140 North 400 West Orem, Utah. The viewing will be held prior to service from 9:45-10:45am.
