Jesus “Jesse” Rodriguez

Jan 25, 2022

Jesus “Jesse” Rodriguez, age 64, of Santaquin, Utah passed away on January 22, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Julie Ann Rodriguez, son, Brandon (Jordoun) Rodriguez, and daughters, Jennifer Rodriguez, Janell (Brett) Aston, and Lorena (Lewis) Hutchings.

Jesus was born on May 19, 1957, in Colonia Dublan, Chihuahua Mexico to Agustin Rodriguez Estrada and Guadalupe Mota Moya.

Jesus came to Utah in 1978 at age twenty-one, and met the love of his life and best friend, Julie Ann Hudson Rodriguez. They wed on June 8, 1979 and were blessed with four children and ten grandchildren. They spent forty-two beautiful years together. Jesse and Julie along with their children would visit Mexico as much as they could and these were some of the best memories they shared.

Jesus was a hard worker and instilled this trait in his children. He worked as a welder at PDM for several years and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad after almost 25 years. He was always determined to provide for his family and give them the very best life that he possibly could.

His family meant more to him than anything else in the world and he loved his parents, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews dearly. He especially loved his grandchildren. He was very proud of his family and always supported them and helped in any way he could.

One of Jesus’s passions was working on and restoring tractors and other equipment. He especially enjoyed welding. He always kept an immaculate yard and enjoyed helping his kids with theirs. He also had a love for the mountains and often went on rides through his favorite canyons with his sweetheart.

Anyone who knew Jesus knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for.

There will be a remembrance gathering and luncheon held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 345 West 100 North in Santaquin, Utah on January 29, 2022 from noon to 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, funeral expense donations are greatly appreciated. Monetary donations can be made through Jesus’ daughter, Lorena Hutchings. (Venmo: @Lorena-Hutchings)

Masks are recommended, but not required.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Walker Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered at www.WalkerMemorials.com.
