Teresa Sant
1954 — 2022
Teresa Elizabeth Sant, 67, passed away June 20, 2022, at her home in Sterling, KS where she has resided since July of 2019. Teresa was born August 24, 1954, to Douglas R. and Eloise Y. Constantine Nead in Santa Cruz, California where she spent her early years loving the ocean. Because she was about 13 years younger than her three older siblings, Teresa liked to joke that she was raised by two moms and her dad. Her sister, Rochelle was a second mother figure in her life and Teresa’s mom was her best friend.
Her dad’s employment took their family to the Reno Area in Northern Nevada; Little Italy San Francisco, CA; and San Jose, CA. She also spent a period of her life in Washington state as well as Washington D.C.
Teresa lived almost 40 years in Payson, UT where she raised her three children with the help of her beloved friends and neighbors. She worked at Behling Insurance Agency, and enjoyed sewing, reading, and family history.
Teresa joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when she was 17 and enjoyed serving in various capacities. She loved studying the scriptures, and was a diligent Gospel Doctrine teacher. Teresa spent years working with the young women and women’s organizations in the church. In her later years she served as an ordinance worker in the Payson, UT Temple. Teresa has a strong love for Jesus Christ and relied heavily on faith throughout her life.
Teresa is survived by her three children, Jason Sant (Liudmila) of Orem, UT, Joshua Sant (Kimberly) of Sterling, KS, and Jodi Thurman (Kyle) of Portage, MI; sister, Rochelle Barker of Billings, MT; and thirteen grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Yvonne Leibfritz; and brother, Rodger Nead.
Memorial services will be held Monday, July 18, 2022 at 4pm at the Payson 8th Ward LDS Meetinghouse, 780 W 500 S Payson, UT. An After-Memorial Reception will follow. Burial will be at the Payson City Cemetery, Payson, Utah.
