Jul 12, 2022

1938 – 2022

Carolyn Anderson Boardman (83) of Provo, Utah, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on July 6, 2022. Born on December 24, 1938, she was the second of three children to Eldon Lewis Anderson and Metta Gurnee Draper. She grew up and attended school in Provo, Utah. She graduated from Provo High in the Class of 1957 and was part of the Pep Club. She then went on to graduate from Hollywood Beauty College and had a long career as a beautician. She married her high school sweetheart, Bob Boardman, on May 12, 1960. They had four children together.

Carolyn was an avid golfer and her favorite course was Hobble Creek Golf Course. She was a member of Jean’s Golden Girls and loved dancing and traveling with them. She enjoyed camping and snowmobiling with her family and many good friends. Her creativity was legendary. She loved to craft, paint, and quilt, and spent many hours selling her exquisite creations at craft shows.

She was a wonderful sister, wife, mother and — especially — grandmother; she was a wonderful example to them. She was tenacious and hardworking but also knew how to have fun. She will be greatly missed.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, brother, LaVell Anderson, and her best friend and sister, Shirley Anderson Hansen. She is survived by her husband, Bob; children, Shad, Monique (David) Lund, Clay (Liz), and Luke (Trudy); grandchildren, Jestyn, Hunter, Allec, Reno, Josie, Wes, Kayla, Emily, Hayden, Madison, Ellie, Gage, and Brooke; great grandchildren, Sage, Emery, Davey May, and three more on the way.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah. Friends may call from 9:30-10:50 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Mapleton Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.bergmortuary.com.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Maple Creek Home Health & Hospice and Nurse Karen for providing such wonderful care. We would also like to thank a special angel, Kelby, who took amazing care of her, as well as always made sure she was looking and feeling her best.
