Janette Harris

Janette Harris, beloved mother, sister and aunt, passed away from cancer on July 11, 2022. Janette was born on May 3rd, 1957 in Spanish Fork Utah to Grant and Helen Harris. She was the 3rd of 6 children. Janette grew up in Spanish Fork and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. She studied nursing at UVU and Weber College, graduating as a registered nurse.

Janette worked as a nurse at Utah Valley Hospital and as a nurse administrator at the Utah State Hospital. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many church callings. Janette enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Janette wanted to be a mother herself, and eventually adopted a beautiful little girl of her own, Kristin.

When Janette’s health began to fail, Kristin became her helper and caregiver. Janette spent the last few months of her life at Auberge Care Center in Ogden. She especially loved the care center staff and patients. She said she was blessed to be surrounded by such good and kind people. Janette will be missed by many family, friends, patients and co-workers. She is survived by her daughter Kristin, brothers Duane, Alan, David and Richard, sister Mary Lu and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. located at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may attend a visitation held on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. located at Walker Funeral Home and again from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services on the 19th.

Interment will be at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
