Melanie Walker

On June 18, 2022, our beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend, Melanie Halford Walker, passed away due to health complications at the age of 59.

She was born May 16 1963, to Neva Jean Peterson and Hal Halford, and later raised by Jim Peterson. Melanie was raised in Santaquin with her 3 sisters Jean Wadsworth, Carole Parkin and Kris Hanson and brother Mark Peterson. On May 8th, 1982, she married Glen Walker and later brought 2 children, Terra Walker Knight and Wesley Walker, into this world.

She is survived by her husband, children, son-in-law Jay Nelson, 6 grand children Taylun Knight, Chloe Knight, Caleb Knight, Halle Nelson, Weston Nelson, Drake Nelson, her siblings, and her father and stepmother, Hal and Marianne Halford. She is preceded in death by her mother Neva Peterson, father Jim Peterson and father-in-law Herbert Walker.

Melanie was the most compassionate person you could ever meet. She welcomed all with her amazing heart and love, and was always the first to step up to help someone in need. She loved painting and sketching, reading, horseback riding, and helping those around her. She was a passionate gardener.

A viewing will be held on June 23rd from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Brown Family Mortuary, 66 S 300 E, Santaquin, UT 84655. Funeral services will be held on June 24th at 12:00 pm (noon) at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel at 548 S 400 E, Santaquin, UT 84655.
