Dean LaVar Ivie
1930 – 2022
Dean LaVar Ivie, 91, long-time resident of Springville, passed away on Sat., Feb. 19, 2022. He was born June 6, 1930, in Provo, UT to Fay L. Ivie and Ethel Marrott Ivie. He married Dorothy Hansen on Mar. 4, 1949. He enjoyed working with the youth. He was a little league baseball coach, a scoutmaster and he helped with the FFA livestock shows. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy and four children: Craig, Reese, Carolyn and Brent; and a sister, Carma. He was preceded in death by his son Kent, grandson Josh and sister Evelyn. Also, he is survived by grand and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Feb 26, 2022. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
