Richard Taylor Johnson

Richard Taylor Johnson, age 87, passed away on March 9, 2022, in Payson, Utah., Richard “Rich” was born March 21, 1934, in Spanish Fork, Utah, to William Taylor Johnson and Dorothy Loneta Nelson. Rich married Donna Johnson on May 21, 1954, in the Salt Lake Temple and together they raised four children, Camille, Kathy, Clark, and Joe.
After attending college for a brief time Rich went to work for his father at his father’s service station in Spanish Fork. Later he had the opportunity to become the owner and manager of Fakler Tires in Spanish Fork, retiring after 30 years in business in 1998. Rich made many friends throughout his life and was a man of integrity and service. Rich was active in the Jaycees working on municipal projects throughout the city. He was devoted to his family and was very proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and supported their various activities.
Rich is survived by his wife, Donna, and his four children: Camille (Jeff) Beckstrom, Salt Lake City; Kathy (Brent) Jarvis, Spanish Fork; Clark (Rachelle), Portland, TN; Joe, Marina Del Rey, CA; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Rich was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lela Johnson Loveless.
Graveside services will be held at Spanish Fork City Cemetery on Saturday, May 21st, 2022 at noon followed by a celebration of life. Condolences can be offered at www.legacyfunerals.com.
