Over the 40 years he worked as an Engineer, Marv contributed to the pioneering era of modern Semi-Conductors. He worked for Micron before moving to Intel, where he devoted himself to a demanding career that enabled him to see much of the world. Away from work, Marv was passionate about music and experiencing what the world had to offer. He often recounted his time as the bass guitarist in his band, Mind’s Slender Thread, and his many cross-country adventures on his Harley. Marv aimed to live up to Malcolm Forbes’ quote, “He who dies with the most toys wins!” having collected many “toys” of his own. Marv settled during retirement in Page, AZ, the town closest to his favorite place – Lake Powell. He spent his final days close to his children and grandchildren in Boise, ID.
Marv is survived by his daughter Lynsey and husband Billy Davis, son Matthew and husband Billy Wolfe, and son Michael Young. His grandchildren Kaid, Evan, Tyler, Claire, and Seinna. His siblings Wayne and wife Robin, Rod, and Alan Carter.
