James Andrew Nelson born January 20, 1944, to John Andrew and Eva Loretta (Rowbury) Nelson in Provo, Utah, and raised on a dairy farm in Spanish Fork. He attended College of Southern Utah, and graduated from Brigham Young University. He went on to have a career in retail management. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He married the love of his life and eternal companion Karolyn Johnson June 4, 1965. He was a wonderful father and loved being a grandpa.

He was preceded in death by his wife Karolyn and his parents John and Loretta.

He is survived by his children Cory (Julie), Lisa, Brian, and Christopher. As well as his grandchildren Sarah, Spencer (Sarah), Brooke, Ethan, Katelee, Ashlee, and Brynlee and great-grandchildren Weston and Olivia. He is also survived by his sister Roberta (William) Tuckett and brother Ronald as well as many loved nieces and nephews.

Viewing 9:30 am to 10:30 am at 870 E Canyon Rd, Spanish Fork, UT 84660, followed by a graveside service at 11 am at the Spanish Fork cemetery.
