Carol Joy Loveless

May 18, 2022

Loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, auntie, and friend Carol Joy Loveless, has passed on to her Heavenly Home, May 12, 2022. She was born February 10, 1946, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Homer and Gwendolyn Isom. She married her sweetheart Larry in the Salt Lake Temple on Oct 8, 1965. She is survived by her husband Larry, her 5 children, Mckay, Maurie (David) Jones, Christopher (Alyssa), Sophie (Kelly) Johnson, and Andrew (Valerie), 17 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandsons, who all lived for her coming to their activities, her hugs, her cooking, and going shopping. Her 7 siblings, and 4 sisters-in-law, who are all grateful for her special spirit in their lives.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission with her husband in Tucson, Arizona. She dedicated her life to the gospel and her favorite calling was raising her children in the gospel. She also loved serving in the Relief Society as a secretary in the presidency. She loved to pray for her family and loved ones and could often be seen at her bedside in prayer.

Her favorite pastime was being surrounded by family, and serving others, including calling everyone in her contact list to chat. She loved to read about Church History and the Second Coming and learning about her heritage. She loved watching movies at the theater, writing letters, sewing and cooking for her family. Mom was a natural giver, often putting the needs of everyone else above her own. She taught them to support each other, to serve each other, to give others the benefit of the doubt, to always talk positively about others, to never forget to pay their tithing, and to go the Lord in Prayer with every question or concern.

We love you Mom, we hope you are having fun chatting with your parents, playing with your grandson Landon, swinging, dancing, and playing softball. We will miss you until we all meet again in Heaven.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Santaquin LDS Church, 345 W 100 N, with a viewing from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior. Share condolences at www.brownfamilymortuary.com.
