Wilma (Mendenhall) Goodman 1927-2022

Wilma (Mendenhall) Goodman passed away on May 17, 2022, at the age of 94, in Orem, Utah. Wilma was born on August 10, 1927, in Cedar City, Utah, to John William Mendenhall and Elsa Hunter Nelson.

Wilma was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Great Lakes Mission from 1949-1950. She married Karl Goodman in the St. George Utah Temple on June 4, 1952.

Wilma served in many positions in the church including three additional missions with her husband Karl. Wilma’s teachings and example leave a legacy of testimony, dedication, and hard work.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings; husband, Karl Goodman; daughter, Catharine Elsa Goodman; granddaughter, Angela Goodman; son-in-law, Nathan Parker; and daughter-in-law, Jeanmarie Goodman.

Wilma is survived by her children: Karl (Katherine) Goodman, Kurt (Colleen) Goodman, Robin (Ken) Erickson, Cindy (Clint) Jones, Mark (Michelle) Goodman, Gaylynn Parker, Dan Goodman, Adam (Kanani) Goodman, 42 grandchildren, and 74 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Wilma will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at 828 South Locust Avenue, Pleasant Grove, Utah 84062. A viewing prior to the funeral will be from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah 84120.
