Helen was born May 22, 1930 in Dawson, OK. On December 31, 1950 she married her life’s companion Bud E Selman. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they ran Bud’s 5-point Service Station in Salem, UT for 31 years. They lived for most of their life together in Salem and were active community members.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was very talented. She was skilled in painting, crafting, and poetry. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and nature. She loved riding horses and caring for pets. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a gentle, beautiful person full of love and faith. She will be sorely missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bud Selman, her sister Marjorie Mories, and her brothers Lee Mories and Walter (Bob) Mories. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Steele, son-in-law Clifton Steele, and grandsons Robert Owen and John Owen.

A viewing is scheduled on Thursday, December 1st from 5:00-6:30 pm at the Walnut Grove Ward Building located at 535 West 2700 South in Syracuse, UT 84075. Funeral Services will be held Friday December 2nd at Walker Funeral Home located 187 South Main Street in Spanish Fork, UT 84660 at 11:00 am with a viewing 1 hour before.
