Linda K Pappas Sabey (Mugga)

Linda K Pappas Sabey (Mugga) 73, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on September 16, 2022 from many long-term illnesses. She was born June 30, 1949 in West Jordan Utah to George Pappas and Nettie Street Pappas. She married Richard Sabey on October 12, 1968. Together they have two children, Daniele Fox (Bryan) and Casey Sabey (Dawn). She also has three step children, Jamie Bateman (Dave), Richard E Sabey (T Cee) and Lyndee Sabey. Linda has 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is the youngest of 14 children.

Linda was always very proud of her Greek heritage. She was the master of finding and giving thoughtful gifts and always made those she loved know that they were important to her. She loved to decorate her home for each holiday or season. She was an amazing cook and loved to make special Greek recipes. She was a great seamstress and sewed many Halloween costumes over the years for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews as well as many blankets, quilts and other gifts. She loved to spoil her grandkids and never showed up without something fun for them. They were her pride and joy.

She grew up in West Jordan Utah where she graduated from Bingham High School. She moved to Lehi in 1983 where she lived until 2006 when they built a new home in Eagle Mountain.

She is survived by her spouse, children, grandchildren and two sisters, Xene Butkovich and Sherrie Hansen and three sisters-in-law, Stannie Pappas, Marilyn Pappas and Pat Sabey. She has many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law Leo and Vea Sabey, siblings Betty Logan (Bruce), Sophie Black (Fran), Helen Hunsaker (Ray), Deana Allen (Todd), Don Pappas (Bert) Athene Phillips (Lee) Georgia Goris (George), Paul Pappas, Steven Pappas, Dan Pappas and George Pappas. Brothers-in-law Mike Butkovich and Bruce Hansen and Sister-in-law Arlene Valdez.

Linda was loved dearly by so many and will be greatly missed.

A viewing will be held Thursday September 22, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Wing Mortuary, 118 E Main St. Lehi, UT and again Friday September 23, 2022 at the Mount Airey Ward Chapel 4338 East Inverness Lane, Eagle Mountain, UT with the funeral to follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Lehi City Cemetery.
