David A.G. Bailey

Apr 4, 2023

David A.G. Bailey, 75, of Provo, Utah, passed away on April 1, 2023, from complications of a Glioblastoma grade 4 brain tumor. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and the Provo community.

David lived a life filled with passion and humor. As a Firefighter/paramedic and later as a Captain, he served the Provo City community for over 30 years. He loved his job and the people he worked with, many of whom became lifelong friends.

Outside of work, David was an adventurer at heart. He loved to travel with his family, explore new places, and indulge in his favorite hobbies, such as skiing, fishing, camping, and motorcycle rides. He was also a devoted fan of the Dodgers and enjoyed watching games with his family.

David was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ and served in various callings, including as a Ward Clerk, Bishop Counselor, and Transit Bishop Missionary at the Provo TSO for five years. His favorite callings were in Scouting, which allowed him to mentor and guide many young people in his community.

After retiring from the Fire Department, David discovered a new talent for designing and creating embroidered quilts and baptism towels. He generously shared his creations with his family and community, including the annual Fullmer Family Reunion.

David was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Mary, his children Benjamin (Mindy) Bailey, Lauralee Kelly, Jeremy (Katie) Bailey, Megan (Ryan) Goodwin, and 12 grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister Candace (Phil) Munoa, his brothers Robert (Sandy Bailey) and Matthew (Charlotte) Bailey.

David’s Celebration of Life will be held on April 8, 2023, at 11:00 am at Nelson Family Mortuary, 4780 N University Ave. Provo, UT.
