Dr. Clifton Boyd Call

At 98 years old, Dr. Clifton Boyd Call passed away Sunday, March 19th of causes incident to age. He was the second of two surviving sons born November 23, 1924 to Orvis Truman Call and Hazel Isabelle Kite in Magna, Utah.

He joined the Navy and fought in the Pacific in WWII. In 1947, he married Marian LaVelle Carsey in the Salt Lake LDS temple and was active throughout his life, serving as Bishop and High Councilman and as a teacher in many capacities.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Orvis De Mont, Basil Odell and Golden Lavar, his wife LaVelle and a second wife Connie Gadd Mikkelson.

He is survived by his 5 children Chris Call, Nancy Call Warner, Mitch Call, Peggy Call Aitken and Phillip Call as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

His professional life included his work as a Physical Therapist at Primary Children’s Hospital in the crucial polio years. He later moved his family to Utah County where he taught for over 30 years at BYU, U of U and BYU Hawaii. Please read full obituary at www.WalkerSanderson.com. There will be a viewing on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home 646 E 800 N, Orem, UT 84097. The funeral on Friday, April 14 at 1 P.M., will be preceded by a viewing from 11 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at the 3rd/4th Ward of the Sharon Stake (730 E 400 S, Orem, UT 84097) and internment will take place at the Orem Cemetery.
