Calvin Wilson Herrin

Calvin Wilson Herrin, 75 of Provo died Friday, February 24, 2023.
Calvin was born on September 16, 1947, in Mechanicsburg, Mississippi, the son of Curtis Charles and Wyllodeene Herrin. He was a southern boy and proud of his heritage. He graduated from Bentonia High School. Calvin served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Central Western States Mission. Calvin and Martha Engberson were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on February 14, 1975. They made their home in Provo where they raised four children. He worked at BYU for 32 years as a grounds maintenance supervisor.
Calvin leaves behind his wife Martha Herrin of Provo, Utah; sons: Curtis (Jamie) Herrin of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; Doug (Larisa) Herrin of Eliot, Maine; daughters: Cami (Lyle) Owens of Payson, Utah; Jolynn (Jeremy) Redden of Willard, Utah; sisters: Cladia Hayes, Ane Hornibrook, Sisters-in-law: Mickey Herrin, Vi Herrin, and fourteen grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 11:00 am, at the Sunset 5th Ward LDS chapel, 1402 South 570 West, Provo, Utah. A viewing will be held for family and friends from 9:30- 10:30, prior to the service. Calvin will be buried in the Provo City Cemetery.
