While attending BYU she met and married Raydon Madson of Payson and had 11 children: Gary (Lygia) Madson, Kayron (Kevin) Lewis, Jeannette Gordon (deceased), Paula (Charles) Heaton, Raydon (Michelle) Madson, Jim (Terra) Madson, Greg (Heidi) Madson, Sandra (Darin) Orr, Beverly (Kevin) Kraut, Becky (Blade) Mecham, and Dan Madson. They had 43 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

Iris enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting and volunteering at Peteetneet Museum. She also enjoyed her many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

There will be a viewing Monday, January 9, 2023 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the LDS Chapel located at 225 S. 400 E. Payson. There will be another viewing Tuesday January 10, 2023 at the same location from 9:45 – 10:45 preceding the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Payson Cemetery following the funeral.
