Iva Ann Nielsen Shields
Iva Ann Nielsen Shields, 89, of American Fork, passed away July 14, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born November 9, 1933, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Andrew Alma Nielsen and Ivie Eleanora Olson Nielsen, and was raised in Vernon, Utah. She married her eternal companion, R. Doyle Shields on September 16, 1954, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She is survived by her children, Craig (Sharleen) Shields, Gleanne (Dan) Taylor, 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she treasured. Her husband, parents, all 6 of her siblings, and several nieces and nephews preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 21, 2023, at 11:00 am, in the American Fork 6th Ward, 300 North 100 East. A viewing will be held prior to the services, at 9:45, and on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, AF. Internment will be in the American Fork Cemetery.
