SCOTT ANDREW WATSON
January 22, 1979 — June 8, 2023
Scott passed away on June 8, 2023 while stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany. He worked there as a Quality Assurance Specialist for the U.S. Defense Contract Management Agency.
Scott was born in Honolulu, HI to David and Hilary (Kendall) Watson. Scott grew up in Salem Utah and later moved to Nevada where he graduated from Edward C. Reid High School in Sparks. In 1999 he joined the Navy where he served for 15 years obtaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer, earning many awards and distinctions. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle University and performed and managed maintenance on the F-14D, UH-1N and f-18A-G aircraft platforms. After his honorable Navy discharge, he served as the Lead Quality Assurance Specialist for the Lexington and Louisville, KY offices of DCMA. In 2022 he transferred to Wiesbaden to start a new chapter of his life. He had created a home there where all were welcome to visit.
Family meant everything to Scott. He was a generous, kind and caring son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend; always making sure those around him were taken care of.
Scott leaves behind a father, two brothers, a sister, other family members, his new love and soul mate in Germany as well as his DCMA Team who loved his work ethic, infectious enthusiasm and smile and willingness to assist in any way possible.
Scott will be laid to rest in a private graveside ceremony at the Salem City Cemetery next to his mother who preceded him in death.
