Steven Larry Jolley
We are sad to announce that Steven Larry Jolley, 73, a resident of Springville, Utah, died of cancer on June 2, 2023, at Orchard Park Care Center, Orem, Utah.
Steve was born March 14, 1950 in Provo, Utah, to Grant Jolley and Mary Laureen Waterlyn Jolley. Steve attended Franklin Elementary, Central/Dixon Jr. High and Provo High School. He married Karen Elder, they later divorced. Steve and Karen had two wonderful daughters, Terri and Debera. He loved his daughters and was very proud of them and the lives they are living.
Steve moved his family to Jackson Hole, Wyoming where he worked at the Open Range Restaurant. He became an accomplished chef, working at resort restaurants in Lake Tahoe, Denver and Utah.
Upon returning to Provo he spent several years as a compassionate care giver and companion for his friend, Violet Brown.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as the Ward Clerk.
He is survived by his daughter, Terri Rummel (Joseph), Herriman, Utah; grandchildren Rebecca (who has preceded him in death), Christopher, and John. Also, his daughter, Debera McDonald (David), Centerville, Utah; grandchildren Brady, Jacob, Ethan, and Emma. His siblings; Greg Jolley (Marilee), Laura Kennard (Lee), Janis Lee (Jeff), Phillip Jolley (Collette).
Steve generously donated his body to the University of Utah Body Donor program.
