Lisa Ann Kitchen, beloved wife of Paul Kitchen, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 26, 2023 at the age of 87.

Born in Provo, Utah on October 29, 1935, Lisa was the oldest daughter of five children born to Erven and Iona Coon. Lisa attended Provo High School where she met her high school sweetheart and future eternal companion Paul Kitchen. While attending Provo High she was active in student body affairs and a member of the school orchestra, where she enjoyed playing the violin.

After graduating in 1954, Lisa attended and graduated cosmetology school in Salt Lake. She was also a founding member of the Les Femmes club. The club served as a gathering place for cherished friends from school, coming together on a monthly basis for over 69 years.

On June 12, 1956, Lisa and Paul were married in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived on Grandview Hill in Provo where they raised their family. She ran a successful home business, Lisa’s Hair Fashions for over 30 years. Her passion for hairstyling was only matched by her ability to forge deep connections with her clientele, nurturing countless friendships with those she served. Lisa had a remarkable sense of style, extending from her impeccable hair to her fashion. She radiated an enduring class that left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

As a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lisa served faithfully in numerous callings. She served alongside her husband in the Provo Temple and as a missionary in the Washington D.C. Temple. Her friendship, love, generosity, and thoughtfulness touched countless lives.

Lisa’s devotion to her family was legendary. She was an exceptional homemaker, wife. mom and grandma. She loved to bring her family together, whether it was by going on family trips or simply hosting dinners and parties at home. She was always there for them, through good and hard times, and later in life would show up to Sunday dinners with homemade strawberry jam and rolls for everyone to enjoy.

Lisa is survived by her one son and three daughters: Brent (Effie) Kitchen, of Charleston; Elizabeth (Glen) Neibaur of American Fork; Paulette (Lynn) Anderson of American Fork; Michelle (Brian) Halladay of American Fork; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and four siblings: Barbara Louder of Orem; Paul (Deon) Coon of Orem; Katie (Leland) Harris of Orem, and Richard (Susan) Coon of Provo. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Paul, her parents, and infant son, Bradley.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 1st, at 11:00 am, at the Grandview 14th Ward, 1122 N. Grand Ave, Provo, Utah, where a Viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:00 to 10:30 am.
