Cecelia Wilkinson

August 15, 1944 — May 2, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cecelia Marie Wilkinson on May 2nd, 2023, at the age of 78.
She was surrounded by her loving family as she peacefully passed away in her home. Cecelia was born on August 15th, 1944, in Long Beach, California, to Donald and Maureen Allen. She was the youngest of three children.
After the family relocated to Payson, Utah, Cecelia attended and graduated from Payson High School. During her high school years, she enjoyed cheerleading and modeling. After graduation, Cecelia married Gary Hoover, with whom she raised a beautiful family. They later divorced, and she moved to Orem, Utah, where she worked in the jewelry business for over 20 years.
It was in Orem where Cecelia met the love of her life, Dean Wilkinson. They shared a passion for traveling the world, hosting parties for their family and friends, spending time at their grandchildren’s sports, and school activities. They eventually retired to St. George, where they enjoyed the sunshine, and lounging by the pool. In her later years, Cecelia moved back to Springville to be closer to her family
Cecelia had a natural talent for creating beautiful spaces, she had the ability to transform any house into a clean and inviting home for her family and friends. She had a deep love for her dogs, Sofie and Bella, they brought her much joy throughout her life.
Cecelia is survived by her four children, Trent (Linda) Hoover, Kerrie (Troy) Taylor, Daryn (Melanie) Hoover, Heidi (Ed) Chalk, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and sister Donna Bowden. Cecelia was preceded in death by parents Don and Maureen, brother Terry Pritchett, husband Dean Wilkinson, and grandson Riley Howell.
Cecelia will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her love for life, family, and friends was immeasurable, and she left a lasting impact on all those she encountered. Her legacy of warmth, kindness, and joy will live on through her loved ones. Rest in peace, Cecelia Marie Wilkinson.
We want to send a special thank you to her nurse McKenna Haveron, and the team at Envision Hospice.
