Richard Glenn Logsdon, Sr.
1947 — 2023
Richard passed away quietly early Sunday morning October 29th in the care of the Central Utah Veterans Home located in Payson, Utah. Richard was born and lived in Mayfield, Kentucky and at the age of 10 moved to Santa Cruz, California where he remained until he joined the military at the age of 18. Richard proudly served two full tours of duty in the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Navy. He loved sharing stories from his youth and time in the service and he had a talent for making instant friendships with those he met. Richard was born an only child and one of his greatest aspirations in life was to raise a large family. He raised five children together with his late wife, Julie Baker Logsdon. Richard is survived and loved by his children and his eleven grandchildren and now joins Julie and one of his granddaughters. To honor Richard’s wishes, there will be no viewing, funeral or burial ceremony. Richard’s remains will be scattered at one of his cherished locations at a private event. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard’s memory to the Primary Children’s Hospital of Salt Lake City, Utah or any other worthy charity or philanthropic cause.
