Oct 20, 2023

Franklin A Blackburn, 72, of Spanish Fork, Utah, passed away after a battle with cancer on October 17th surrounded by his family.

Frank was born January 1, 1951 in Provo to Ancel V Blackburn and Zora Torgerson Blackburn. He was the sixth of eight children, the youngest boy. He attended Orem High then went into the Army serving in Germany and Vietnam. He then attended Utah Valley Technical College and worked in steel fabrication until retirement.

Frank was an avid hunter and outdoorsman from a young age and enjoyed motor sports from motorcycles and 4 wheelers to jet skis and snowmobiling. He rode his atv all over the mountains near his home in Spanish Fork. Many friends and family have great memories camping with Frank “up Tucker.”

Anything Frank tackled he did well. Highly independent, a man of his word, practical and stoic he was also funny and goofy. He was a really great Dad and will be deeply missed.

Frank leaves behind his daughter Gentry, her husband Gunnar Goodman, their children Gallagher (6) and Ozgur (4). He is also survived by brothers and sisters Linda and Barry Brown, Sherman Blackburn, James Blackburn, Eric Blackburn, Evelyn and Steve Weber and Bruce and Louise Hatch. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Blackburn

A brief public service will be held at the Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park, 17111, 1700 W, Bluffdale, UT on October 26th at 11 am.
