Sep 22, 2023

1943 — 2023

Lynn Davis Larson, age 80, returned peacefully to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Spring Hollow Assisted Living and Memory Center in Orem, Utah, where he had resided only a short time.

Lynn was born May 24, 1943, in Burley, Idaho, to Floyd Davis Larson and Marva Fae Smith, the 2nd of 8 children. He learned hard work on the farm, where he loved spending time with family, enjoying gardening, and caring for the animals. After graduating from Burley High in 1961, he served a mission from September 1961 to March 1965 in Sweden.

He entered Brigham Young University in the fall of 1965. While there, he met Linda Lane Kiesel and they were married on May 3, 1966, in the Logan, Utah Temple. Lynn was a devoted father to his four children, serving them with love and kindness. He has inspired our lives in so many ways. He is our hero.

Lynn graduated from BYU with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education in August 1968 and began teaching at Timpanogos Elementary School in the fall of 1968. He taught his students to love science and nature. In August of 1983, he received his Master of Education degree from BYU. In April of 1996, he became a realtor, using his love of people to help others.

Lynn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed serving in many callings. Recently he served by ensuring the font was filled and ready for baptisms and then cleaning it meticulously afterward. He leaves us with his testimony regarding our loving Heavenly Parents and their Son, Jesus Christ.

Lynn lovingly cared for his wife during her health struggles from 2010 until she passed in 2019.

A funeral is scheduled for Friday, September 29, 2023, at 1:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1450 S. 800 E. Orem, UT. Viewings will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 6-8pm at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 E. 800 N, Orem and at noon on Friday September 29 at the church preceding the funeral. Interment will be held immediately following the funeral at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, 500 N. Main, Pleasant Grove, UT.
