Shellie Long Kendrick

Shellie Long Kendrick, 43, passed away on Saturday, April 27th, 2024, after a long battle with breast cancer.

She was born December 18th, 1980, to Mark Long and Lynda Taylor. She graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1999 in Ammon, Idaho.

Shellie attended Utah Valley State College where she met her husband, Chad Kendrick. They married on May 11th, 2002, in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together they welcomed two wonderful children – son, Dallen, and daughter, Katelyn.

Shellie made lifelong friends in each place she lived and will be deeply missed by all. She was a kind and loving person whose wonderful light brought joy to those who knew her, and her humor was unmatched.

She is survived by her by husband, Chad; son, Dallen; daughter, Kate; mother and step-father, Lynda & Bruce Taylor; father and step-mother, Mark & Sonia Long; brother, Austin (Lela) Long; sisters, Stephanie (Scott) Carsrud, Lacey Taylor, and Kat (Josh) Newman; maternal grandparents, Dale & Louise Murdock; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Leslie & Elaine Long.

Services will be held on Friday, May 3rd, 2024, at 10:30 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel at 14919 S Eagle Crest Drive, Draper, Utah. Viewing from 9:00-10:00 AM. Broadcast available via AndersonMortuary.com. Burial in Highland City Cemetery.
