Max Oscar Grunig

Max Oscar Grunig, age 93, Passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024 in Orem, Utah. He was born on November, 3, 1930 in Bloomington, Idaho a son of Oscar Edward & Verda Grunig.

Max married Glenna Gilbert on November 17, 1958 in the Logan, LDS Temple.

He served in the Air Force as an 1st Sargent for 2 years at March AFB, and 5 more years in the Reserves in Riverside, California.

He is a lifetime member of the American Physical Therapy Assoc. & active as a Physical Therapist for over 30 years. He also volunteered at Hillcrest Elementary School for 8 years.

Max was an active High Priest in the LDS church.

Max loved singing, weightlifting and wrestling.

Max was preceded in death by his parents; his twin Brother and Sister, Evert and Eva Grunig and his Son James Grunig.

He is survived by his wife Glenna Gilbert Grunig of Orem, Kim Grunig of Orem, John Grunig of Orem, Scott (Brandie) Grunig of West Valley. Also four Grandsons, four Grand Daughters and seven Great Grandchildren.

A Graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024 at the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Monday, August 12 at Wheeler & Sundberg Funeral Home, 495 South State Street, Orem, Utah.

Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
