She grew up in Santaquin, Utah and graduated from Payson High School, class of 1974. She married Michael (Mickey) Colvin Kirk and soon after they had 4 children. They lived in Wyoming and Texas for a few years before settling down in her forever home in Santaquin. Debbie and Mickey later divorced.

Later in life, she went to college and worked in the Radiology Department at Mt. View Hospital.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Bill, her sister, Vicky, her 3 sons, Josey, Dylan, and Kenyon, and 2 of her grandchildren, McKayla and Ethen Jack.

Debbie is survived by her sister, Brenda Mikesell, brothers, Robert Kaletta and Paul Kaletta, her daughter, Shelsee, as well as 5 of her grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
