He married Lorena Abbott in the LoganTemple on August 31, 1950 and together they had 5 children.

Roy is preceded in death by his wife Lorena, his children Kevin and Kathy, and his siblings June and Merrill.

He is survived by his children Ann Mair (Dusty Roitz), Alison (Jay) Sisson,and Kirk (Nikki) Slater. A viewing will be held at Wing Mortuary in Lehi on Sunday, 15 December from 6-8pm. A funeral will be held on Monday, 16 December at 11am with a viewing 1 hour prior at 65 W 800 S in Mona.
