Terry Warren Johnson

1943 ­– 2024

Terry Warren Johnson was born on August 31, 1943, in Lovell, Wyoming to J. Van Johnson and Elsie Jacqueline Johnson. He married the love of his life, Dixie Burrup Johnson, in the LDS Salt Lake Temple on August 18, 1966. Terry spent a full career as an Air Force officer and a second full career working for the missionary department for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

After months of missing his eternal companion, Terry peacefully joined her in heaven for time and all eternity on January 23, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years (Dixie Burrup Johnson), his parents (J. Van & Elsie Jacqueline Johnson), his in-laws (Percy Edward & Ora Hamilton Burrup), his brother Ron Johnson and his grandson Isaac. Terry is survived by his children David (Amanda), Mike (Elise), Mark (Heidi), and Shelly, 18 grandchildren (Kelsey (Campbell), Abby, Lincoln, Madison, Lucas, Gavin, Jacob, Samantha, Genevieve, Elaina, Courtney, Simon, Granite, Matthew, Sabrina, Philip, Kassidy, and Kai), his brother Mike (Carol), his Sister Vannie (Dan Grundmann), and countless other aunts, uncles, relatives, and dear friends all across the world.

Terry was beloved by all who came into contact with him and will be greatly missed. Well done, thou good and faithful servant. #FamiliesAreForever

Funeral Services for Terry will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the Cedar Pass LDS Stake Center – 8273 North Simpson Springs Road in Eagle Mountain, Utah. There will be a viewing from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM prior to services. Interment will be at 3:00 PM at Eastlawn Memorial Cemetery – 4800 N Eastlawn Dr. (650 E) Provo, Utah.
