Stephen Anthony Fraser
1954 – 2024
Stephen Anthony Fraser was born on June 6th, 1954, to David and Helen (Lunkiewicz) Fraser. He was baptized and made a child of God through God’s gracious promises in water and Word.
Stephen spent his early years in Wisconsin, where he met his bride, Diane (Geiger) Fraser. They married in 1975 while he was finishing his Bachelor’s degree at a college in Illinois. After graduating, Stephen worked at several universities and computing firms at different locations in the US before starting his own company in Texas. There Stephen and Diane welcomed their son, Craig.
In 1987, Stephen and his family discovered their true home: Orem, Utah. He loved Orem for the mountains, the people, and the sense of community. Stephen’s career in software engineering led him to positions at firms such as WordPerfect, Novell, and Symantec. He never lost his passion for electronics, and continued designing and building circuitry into his retirement.
Over the years, Stephen was a faithful member of the churches he attended, most recently Good News Lutheran.
Stephen was taken from this life to life eternal at the age of 70 years, on Saturday, September 28th, 2024.
Stephen is survived by his wife, Diane Fraser; father, David Fraser; son, Craig (Esther) Fraser; sister Christine (James) Patterson; 2 brothers, Richard (Renee) Fraser and James (Coco) Fraser; 2 grandsons, Robert and Christopher; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Fraser and sister, Suzette Griffith.
A funeral service for Stephen will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 8th, at Good News Lutheran Church, 3281 North 1120 East #120, Lehi, Utah. Stephen will be interred at Orem City Cemetery in a private ceremony with family later that afternoon. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.bergmortuary.com.
“But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last. And after my body has decayed, yet in my body I will see God! I will see him for myself. Yes, I will see him with my own eyes. I am overwhelmed at the thought!” — Job 19:25-27, NLT
