Monta Rae Forsyth Jeppson

Monta Rae Forsyth Jeppson, age 92, from Orem, Utah, died August 20, 2025, with her three daughters at her bedside. She was born November 25, 1932, in Cardston, Alberta, Canada, to Joseph Frank Forsyth and Rachel Ackroyd Forsyth. She married Eldon Glade Jeppson on December 8, 1950, in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her death on March 23, 2014.
Monta Rae was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed.
She had many interests in the community; she was a member of Orem Women’s Club, a Regional PTA officer, a business owner of a Bridal Shop in Provo, and on the board of directors for UTA Transit, with assistance to start and build Utah Trax.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served many assignments, including Relief Society Teacher and Young Women’s Advisor.
She loved the theater, with acting roles in several plays in the church and community. She and Eldon served 4 service missions in the Utah Valley Area after retirement.
Monta Rae is survived by her three daughters, Karen (late Gary) Richmond of Orem, Utah, Cindy Wight of South Jordan, Utah, Pam (Robert) Starley of Provo, Utah, and 11 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Jeppson, and six brothers, Howard Forsyth, William Forsyth, George Forsyth, LeGrand Forsyth, Gordon Forsyth, Lee Forsyth, and one sister, Lucy Forsyth (Phelps). She is survived by her sister, Nola Forsyth Blackmon.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025, 12:00 PM at Wheeler-Sundberg Funeral Home, 495 South State Street, Orem, with a viewing from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery, 4800 North 650 East, Provo, Utah
