Scott Orr

Jul 14, 2025

July 30, 1958 – July 2, 2025

Spanish Fork — Scott Mitchell Orr passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, in Spanish Fork, Utah, just a few weeks shy of his 67th birthday. Born on July 30, 1958, in Payson, Utah, to Gordon and Eva Orr, Scott spent his life rooted in the people and places he loved most.

On June 20, 1987, Scott married the love of his life, Becki Haveron, in Spanish Fork. Together, they shared a beautiful life filled with laughter, hard work, and devotion. They raised five children who were his pride and joy: Amanda (Glen) Roberts of Spanish Fork; Zac (Krystal) Lazenby of Hobble Creek Canyon; Colton Orr of Spanish Fork; Kyli (Nic) Thomas of Chaparral, New Mexico; and Brennin Orr of Spanish Fork. He adored his 17 grandchildren and loved being a great-grandpa–especially knowing there was another little one on the way.

Scott had a quiet strength and a generous heart. He was always the first to show up and help–whether it was fixing something, moving something, or simply being there. Family and friends could always count on Scott, not just for a helping hand, but for a steady presence and a good sense of humor.

He had many passions–he loved to travel, ride his motorcycle, play a round of golf, and was always cheering on his beloved Denver Broncos. He took great pride in his yard and garden and found peace and joy in the outdoors. He especially loved spending the evenings on his backyard deck overlooking his view. But nothing made him happier than being with his family. He never missed a ball game, always showing up to cheer on his kids and grandkids from the sidelines.

Scott is survived by his loving wife, Becki; his five children; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and one more expected soon. He also leaves behind his brother, Gordon (Janice) Orr; and his sisters: Delilah Brinkerhoff, Eva Ann (Kelly) Powelson, Bonnie (Roger) Swenson, and Michelle (Paul) Wilcoxson.

He was welcomed on the other side by his parents, Gordon and Eva Orr; his sister, Leslie Roberta; his brother, David Orr; and his brother-in-law, James Brinkerhoff.

Scott’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, and service. He will be remembered for the way he showed up–for his family, his friends, and his community. His steady presence, listening ear, and big heart will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A viewing in his honor will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home located at 187 South Main St., Spanish Fork, Utah.
