Barbara June Butler McReynolds

Barbara June Butler McReynolds passed away peacefully on the evening of May 21, 2025 in Draper, Utah. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Barbara’s life was defined by service, compassion, and unwavering love for her family. Born on June 18, 1949, along with her twin sister, Bonnie, to Hyrum Grant and Lyla June Butler. Barbara married Jon McReynolds at her mother’s home in Orem on March 25, 2003. Then, her and Jon were sealed in the Manti Temple on December 17, 2005. Together they faithfully served in the temple and enjoyed spending time outdoors in the beauty of God’s creations. She was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved her Savior. Barbara is survived by her husband, Jon McReynolds; her children: Amanda J Patten-Barney (Andy), Dirk McMurray (Kim), Brooke Smith, Buck McMurray (Kristy), Pyper Tedrow (Greg), and Angeline Alor (Kleber); and her cherished siblings: Judy Turnbow, Bonnie Lott, Brent Butler (Janet), and Susan Hansen (David). She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry her memory in their hearts. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and June Butler, a sister, Jeniel Madsen, and a son-in-law, Phillip Thane Patten.

Funeral services will be held June 7, 2025, at the Daniel 1st Ward located at 2285 S Daniel Road, Heber City, Utah 84032. There will be a viewing from 9 a.m. to ­10:30 a.m. with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at the Heber City Cemetery following the services.
